CONDUCTING READING PROMOTION WEEK II, OCTOBER

 

PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Ishapore celebrated Reading Promotion Week II with great enthusiasm during the third week of October. The event aimed to cultivate a love for reading among students and to highlight the joy and power of books in shaping young minds.

  


Students from the primary section up to class VIII actively participated in a series of engaging competitions and literary programs organized throughout the week. Activities included storytelling sessions, book cover designing, read-aloud events, quiz competitions, and creative writing exercises. Each activity was designed to encourage students to explore diverse genres, enhance their vocabulary, and express their imagination freely.

 


 


 The participation of students was overwhelming, reflecting their keen interest and enthusiasm for reading-based activities. The event not only nurtured reading habits among learners but also strengthened their confidence and communication skills.

 


 The Reading Promotion Week II at PM Shri KV No.1, Ishapore successfully reaffirmed the school’s commitment to fostering a vibrant reading culture and instilling lifelong learning values in its students.

 

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY CELEBRATION 2025

 National Sports Day is celebrated on 29th August every year in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Indian hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. Kendriya Vidyalaya celebrates the National Sports Day 2025 on 29th August 2025 in a befitting manner in the Vidyalaya campus. 

 


A Volleyball match was held between students of class 11 and 12 to encourage the students in sports and games. Also Yoga activities along with a brief cultural programme was performed at the assembly.

 




 

NCC SELECTION AT PM SHRI KV NO1 ISHPAORE FOR THE 1ST TIME

 

The selection process for the NCC (National Cadet Corps) Unit at PM SHRI KV No.1 Ishapore has been successfully completed. This year, cadets have been selected for both the Junior Division (Boys) and Junior Wing (Girls), marking a significant step towards instilling discipline, leadership, and a spirit of service among the students.

 


 

A total of 50 cadets have been selected, forming a balanced and enthusiastic troop ready to embark on their NCC journey. The selection was conducted with keen interest and enthusiasm, ensuring a fair and merit-based process. 

The unit will function under the able guidance of CTO Hirak Samadder, who also serves as the school's Librarian. His commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering patriotism will provide the cadets with the right direction and mentorship.

 


 

The school looks forward to the active participation of the NCC troop in various camps, parades, and community outreach programs, contributing positively to their all-round development.

 

 

PANEL INSPECTION ROUND 2




 

Panel Inspection second round for PM Shri KV No 1 Ishapore was held today on 30.01.2025. The inspecting team was lead by honorable Assistant Commissioner of RO Kolkata Shri C Vijayaratnam. The team reached the school in the morning and observed the whole day activities from the morning assembly.

 


 


Reading Promotion Week

  

 

In adherence to the directives under PM Shri, Reading Promotion Week was observed with great enthusiasm at PM Shri KV No. 1 Ishapore across three different weeks—August, October, and December 2024. The initiative aimed to cultivate a robust reading culture among students, encouraging them to explore the world of literature and enhance their creative and analytical skills.

 

Structured Observance Over Three Weeks

The observance of Reading Promotion Week was thoughtfully planned and executed across three phases, ensuring maximum participation and engagement:

 

  1. Week 1 (August 2024): Focused on introducing students to the joy of reading and setting the stage for an immersive experience.

 

  1. Week 2 (October 2024): Aimed at deeper engagement through competitions and collaborative activities.

 

  1. Week 3 (December 2024): Culminated the celebrations with activities that showcased the skills and creativity of the students.
